URGENT: DRAIN LOG FILES

How can I drain logfiles in IDS 7.3 NT? I am developing so I don't need to save data, I just want to clean the log. I can do it by executing ontape -a and if LTAPEDEV and TAPEDEV are set to NULL, but I don't know how exactly I must do it: Have tried: TAPEDEV \\\\null LTAPEDEV \\\\nullor TAPEDEV null LTAPEDEV null but when I execute ontape -a I receive the following: Please, mount tape 1 on \\\\null and press RETURN... Logbackup failed - function open tape device \\\\null failed code -1 errno 2 Another question :how can assign more log files and larger? By default I always obtain 10 of 500 Kb, although I set LOGFILES and LOGSIZE to different values and restart the server. Please, respond ASAP. Thank you
