Snorri - I use the following function signature on Sun for _iqlocate_cursor - EXTERN_FUNCTION( extern _SQCURSOR* _iqlocate_cursor, ( ... ) ); as the compiler error you received shows that _iqlocate_cursor() returns a pointer an _SQCURSOR structure.
