Informix 4GL (Tetra/IX Unix)

I apologize if this is a little vague, also if it is in the wrong group, but I am 'being thrown in at the deep end' at work. My organization currently runs Tetra 2000 under MS-DOS/Novell but are in the process of moving over to Tetra/IX under Unix. However, we currently have a bolt-on product which we use for customer returns. This product will most definatly have to be lost when the move to Unix takes place, so what I would then need is a similar type of product which can be bolted onto the Tetra/IX. I am told that this would beed to be written in 4GL Informix for this to take place. Any information would be grately appreciated. Please mail responses to me as I do not receive this group locally.
