}Date: Wed, 04 Jun 97 09:11:39 }From: "Peries, Chaminda" <cperies@dynasty.com> }X-Informix-List-Id: <list.14789> } } I am looking for a XA compliant informix database <A version of } Informix that can be used with TUXEDO> and have been hearing } conflicting reports on their availibility. I need to know } if there is a Informix version that is XA compliant, if so is it } } Informix 7.X or } Informix 5.x Do you need to have add ons etc...? } } Also I need to know if Informix 5.x supports a call level interface } (CLI) like Informix 7.x ? As far as I know, 5.0x OnLine is XA compliant, and so are the 7.x versions of OnLine. That is, the engines handle XA transactions automatically in both releases. You would need the correct XA library support for the Tuxedo applications to link with. This is a separate product in the 5.0x releases; it is bundled in the 7.2x releases; and I don't know whether it is bundled in the 7.1x releases or not (though since libinfxxa.a in the 7.13.UC1 directory I have access to, it appears to be bundled in 7.13). I'm not aware of a CLI package like ODBC for 5.0x Informix software. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
