Error while starting KAIO threads

I have
following configuration:
1. HP-UX 11.00 on rp7410 / 4x550MHz / 4GB RAM
2. Informix Dynamic Server 2000 Version 9.21.HC4 using raw chunks (no cooked
files at all) 3. Currently working with AIO VCPU's
While attempting to enable KAIO threads on VCPU's I did get following error
(from the online.log):

What might be a problem? Where should I start looking?
Dejan.
Hi, > What might be a problem? Where should I start looking? Maybe at the things your message log tells you to look for? > 04:15:51 The chunk '/home/informix/databaselinks/tempdbs' > must have owner-ID "informix" and group-ID "informix". The origianal device files must have these attributes. Additionally they must have mode 660. Besides that, the async driver must be included in the HP-UX kernel (it isn't normally). The device file /dev/async must exist and have read/write-permissions for everybody. If you aren't using Informix mirroring the major/minor numbers for that device file are 101/0 - look at your machine notes. The user informix must have mlock-privileges (/etc/privgroup). HP KAIO driver "asyncdsk" is installed and linked into the kernel. b. To ensure KAIO driver is up and running, check to see if /dev/async exists; if not, then run the following commands as root: # /usr/sbin/mknod /dev/async c 101 4 # chmod 0666 /dev/async c. # echo "informix: MLOCK" > /etc/privgroup # setprivgrp -f /etc/privgroup # getprivgrp -- should display: global privileges: CHOWN informix: MLOCK HTH, Paul Mosser
