Arcchecker
Posted in 2006
A user on IDS 10.0 UC5 tried a table-level restore with archecker and hit an error saying the target table doesn't exist; he asked whether the target table must be created beforehand (given the schema file needs CREATE TABLE statements for both source and target), and whether archecker performs well or has faster alternatives. The thread is mostly off-topic banter mocking his use of the word 'performant'; one reply asked him to post his command and schema file and pointed to John Miller III's presentations on iiug.org, noting the manual lacks detail. No actual answer or resolution is recorded.

Hello, IDS 10.0 UC5 Attempting to use archecker to do a table level restore and getting an error saying my target table doesn't exist. Wondering if the target table has to be explicitly created before running the archecker job? Seems to be a simple question, however, the schema file used with archecker requires "Create Table" statements for both source and target tables. Is archecker considered to be performant? Faster alternatives? Thanks, Tam.

Sorry. Didn't realize that word was a sore spot with you. I will repent. And, any advice on the archecker question? Tam, You did not include the commands or file you used to run the TLR. Post this information and maybe we can help. Also look on the www.iiug.org. John Miller III has several presentations that show how to use this feature. The manual is lacking some detail and his presentation will bring everything together.
