I am pretty new to this Informix/NT scenario and have found the documentation concerning users to be quite lacking or at least hard to find. From everything I've found, Informix gets its users from NT's User database. I suppose a generic informix_user user could be created and then deprived of most NT-related rights. This is not a definitive answer, though, just my experience so far.
