Last night we upgraded some of our database severs to IDS 10.0.FC4 from
IDS 10.0.FC3 and are getting the following errors from our servers that
are running IDS 9.40.UC5:
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.UC5 -- On-Line -- Up
01:19:19 -- 2524160 Kbytes
Message Log File: /usr/informix/log/online94.prod
09:07:48 Checkpoint loguniq 25366, logpos 0x7a7f58c, timestamp:0xe5e6f2a5
09:07:48 Maximum server connections 15
09:10:11 Buffers recvd <56> not equal to buffers sent <1> for
KEY(1/25544/0x3461428/0x1)
09:10:11 CDR connection to server lost, id 1, name <sc_prod1>
Reason: connection lost
09:10:26 CDR: Re-connected to server, id 1, name <sc_prod1>
09:11:01 Buffers recvd <58> not equal to buffers sent <1> for
KEY(1/25544/0x3557548/0x1)
09:11:01 CDR connection to server lost, id 1, name <sc_prod1>
Reason: connection lost
09:11:16 CDR: Re-connected to server, id 1, name <sc_prod1>
09:11:37 Buffers recvd <58> not equal to buffers sent <1> for
KEY(1/25544/0x377b428/0x1)
09:11:37 CDR connection to server lost, id 1, name <sc_prod1>
Reason: connection lost
09:11:52 CDR: Re-connected to server, id 1, name <sc_prod1>
The other servers in this ER scheme aren't having these issues, just the
servers that are still on 9.40. There are also associated ATS failures
which aren't shown in this portion of the log.
Unfortunately we are unable to upgrade this server to IDS 10 because we
would have to upgrade the OS from Solaris 2.6 to Solaris 8 and this
server runs legacy applications that would not run on the newer OS.
Has anybody else seen this type of behavior?
Thanks in advance,
-Dana

Dana,
Have you opened a case yet with tech support? There was a problem with identity on the V10 server. I think that we may need an environment variable set if we have a mix of xC3 vrs xC4. You might want to check the xC4 release notes.

Dana ---
What level is CDRID 1 on?
The source count (buffers sent) is counted on the source and sent to the target. So it's important to know the source level.
Thanks.
