Alcoholic Beverage Control Database

Hello World! Has anyone done work with a database tracking Alcoholic Beverages? Specifically, if the terms Standard Case Code and Universal Product Code mean anything to you, I'd like to hear from you. I have a customer beginning to develop a database for tracking the alcohol trade into a control state. He'd like to share ideas, schemas, plans etc. Please write for more details.
