I have an opportunity to do some work with Progress 4GL for a client and wondered if anyone could give me some insight as to how easy it would be for me to pick up Progress 4GL given a decent background in Informix 4GL. My Informix DBA skills are very strong (about 5 years experience). I did about a year of programming in Informix 4GL several years ago - mostly building reports. Thanks, Wes

I remember that it's different, more event driven than Informix's 4GL. In I/R4GL only the forms and reports are event code, in Progress sequential logic driven code is the exception. Art S. Kagel
