Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

The Problem: We are running into a Ulimit problem using the Informix SE
engine V4.00.UG2. We have a database that is currently sitting at the
1.07 gig barrier which is sco's standard ULIMIT.
We can't add rows to this database from ISQL or home grown 4gl's they
blow up with a file to large error. < this would be the reason for
suspecting the ULIMIT>
We have rebuild the kernel on the system to have a standard ULIMIT of
4194303 which comes out to around 2.2gig max file size.. I can create
files with no problem on the system that are larger than a gig. I suspect
that either Informix has a compiled in ULIMIT or SCO's write function is
specially broken for informix... ;-)...
If anyone has insites on this problem I would appreciate a responce....
Thanks in advance.. If you need more information let me know..
ps. The file systems are 2 gig each.. with nothing else on them..
Thanks...
