Important criteria are: 1) reasonably efficient ansi-compliant SQL 2) Portability over unix V, dos, OS/2 3) server process based (in multi-tasking evvironment). The only product about which I have much information so far is that sold by Faircom in Montana. Has anyone good/bad/indifferent experiences with this product? and could you offer comparisons/views on others (Eg informix & ESQL). Also, where might I find a good description of the ansi SQL definition? Is there a clear definition for how an application interfaces to an SQL server?
