There is often nothing you can do about that as a NE programmer. - Informix obviously has no idea how to fix it for years now. - Error comes up in version 2.2 like in all others - Workarounds like yours seem to work first but dont at last. Some circumstances do have effect on the probability of the error; my bad experience with this thing tells me that you will get disappointed in the end :< In average this is about 2-5% here for starting a Window with a really big menu. - Some circumstances show VERY positive effect like for example opening the App Builder before running the program (too bad this is not possible in a runtime version ;> ) - Some other things seem to have very negative effect... for example having the computer in power saving mode (Compac computers here) right before you start the program. The only valid workaround is not to use Windows 3.1x... The error never comes up in Windows 95 so far (about 6 months experience). PS: The original poster may have a specific other problem though. Keep in mind that the 1363 error is that type of "we dont know what to do now and are in panic... lets commit suicide"-error ;> -- -- Dipl.-Math.
