4gl: need help on help

To any programmers working this holiday week: When I run my program and hit the help key for a menu choice, and then hit "resume" to get out of help, the text "You have reached the end of this help text...." has an unpleasantly long after life in the error line. According to the 4gl user guide, p.7-11, this message should go away when the user hits a key. Does anyone know how to get rid of this thing? I tried putting error "" in assorted places, but to no avail. 4gl seems to think that the importance of this item warrants immortality.
