This removes all absolute pathnames from systables (except for the log file if applicable). 2) As "root" I cd to the directory that has the database in it and type: find . -print | cpio -pvumd /new/path/name (this keeps the file perms) 3) As "informix" I manually delete the logfile entry from systables if applicable. 4) As the database owner, I execute a START DATABASE statement if needed. > Really, it is far easier and painless to do a DBSCHEMA, then create the > tables, and unload and load the data a table at a time. > Maybe, but that takes more time.
