Query - Two Phase Commit

Hello friends, I wish to develop an "Any Branch Banking" software for a large bank in India. We are using Informix 5.1 SE. I want to know some details on Two phase commit in this kind of distributed database updations. Does Informix Software has any built in layer to help maintain database concurrency and recovery in case of distributed database updations.
