Ria, I have very similar environment and have tested query
you described. I have got the same incorrect result! And here is
another strange behaviour:
CREATE PROCEDURE res001 (res LIKE "informix".systables.tabname)
DEFINE lres CHAR(10); LET lres = res[1,10];
END PROCEDURE;
When I run this script, the following error occures:
305: Subscripted column (res) is not of type CHAR, VARCHAR, TEXT nor BYTES.
But this works:
CREATE PROCEDURE res001 (res CHAR(18))
DEFINE lres CHAR(10); LET lres = res[1,10];
END PROCEDURE;
Any comments?
