Tab delimiter

Dear All, Recently I have upgraded my client's database from Informix 10 to 11.7 and sdk 3.7 The application is developed in VB6 and communicate with database through odbc. Now, I need to create a file with tab delimiter as requested, and i face the following problem: When the delimiter is between 2 values, the file contains the tab indicator normally. Whenever the line ends with a tab delimiter the result in my file is a space instead of tab. Automatically the value converted from tab to space. Only when the tab is at the end of the record. I have simulated the same in Informix v.10 with sdk 2.7 or 2.81 and returns the correct value at the end of the row. Could you please advice why this happens and how can i fix it. Thanks, Vasilis
