Hallo, I have a little eSQL-program, which insert or delete Tupels. My Problem is, if I logged in as informix, then can I execute the program on the server-machine and on clients machines, but if I logged in as the owner of the table and I want to insert/delete the Tupels then can I do this only on the server-machine. In the program is the owner of the table spezified. But this User can use 'dbaccess' and can also compile the source code on the clients-machines. I have set in .cshrc the Environment Variables for the user: INFORMIXDIR INFORMIXSERVER SQLEXEC ONCONFIG + LD_LIBRARY_PATH and also I've added the portnumber and the hostname of the Database Server (9.14) in the /etc/serveces and /etc/hosts - file on the clients-hosts. I copied the Informix - sqlhost-file to the user ~/etc/sqlhosts and I granted dba and connect to the user. But the client-user get no connection to the database - Server. (If an user use 'dbaccess', he has to put in his user name and his password, only the informix-user can directly select a database. If this do an other user, he get the error message 'Permisson denied or user@rechner is not trusted by the server. - I think that this 2 problems have the same cause) Thanks for your help.
