exporting db w/pseudo tables

Hey folks, first time posting. Thanks for existing. I used Informix 7.1 extensively two years ago and it has come back to haunt me in my new job. Using your excellent search engine on the newsgroup, I answered my "unable to attach to shared memory" by adding the appropriate /etc/system kernel parameter settings. So far, so good. Now for the next problem: I need to export an existing database, but am getting the error, "Database has pseudo tables - can't build schema." Anyway around this? TIA, Jud.

The ONLY database with pseudo tables is SYSMASTER. You did not place
your tables in that database did you? If so you will have to unload
the tables manually one at a time using the dbaccess UNLOAD command or
using a homegrown utility like my ul.ec, in the IIUG Software
Repository submission utils2_ak.
BTW this is probably dangerous and a VERY BAD idea. Once you have
unloaded our data consider reinitiallizing the instance (oninit -i) if
you still need it and reloading the data into a new database on a clean
instance.
