Hi Pramod,
Qoting from the Informix Admin.Guide..
The following steps may be used to setup Legato storage manager software.
For more info you may refer to Legato Installation guide.
1. Install Legato using Sun's pkgadd comand
2. Add an nsrhost entry in /etc/hosts for each client
3. Configure the system and initialize media
4. Perform a test file system backup first.
*****************
The following is brief overview of the steps required to configure Legato
for use with ON-Bar.
1. Modify the /usr/sbin/nsrdbmi script
2. Verify or create the link to ibsad001.so
for ex.: ln -s /usr/lib/libbsa.so /usr/lib/ibsad001.so
3. Set environmental variable.
if you want to execute any onbar comands from the command line, Legato
requires that the two environment variable, NSR_DATA_VOLUME_POOL and
NSR_LOG_VOLUME_POOL, must be set to the same values specified in the client
panel. If you follow the installation manual instructions, these pools will
be named, DBMIData and DBMILog.
In my last project I have used this Legato Networker. This is a very good
storage manager software.
Thanx
Santanu
