Informix 7.1 on SCO OpenServer 5

I am having godawful problems trying to get more than two Informix instances running on SCO OpenServer 5. The third instance always fails during initialisation with "out of semaphore" errors - whatever I set these too, the same failure occurs. Can someone give me some clues with regards to the proper settings? Ultimately, this system needs to support eight separate instances ... TIA Jeremy Russell
