ER replicate creation err
Posted in 2006
On IDS 10.00.UC5 (AIX), 'cdr define replicate' with --conflict=timestamp failed with "Error creating delete table (57)", while --conflict=ignore worked. Madison Pruet said this typically happens when the syscdr database was dropped without first removing the old delete tables, leaving stale remnants; Frank confirmed he had dbexported/dbimported a copy of an already ER-replicated database, which Pruet agreed was the cause. The advice was to contact tech support to clean up the system properly; no self-service fix steps are given in the thread.

Hello,
Program Name: onstat
Build Version: 10.00.UC5
Build Number: N202
Build Host: ibm6c1b
Build OS: AIX 5.2
Build Date: Thu May 18 00:09:08 CDT 2006
GLS Version: glslib-4.00.UC8
I am creating replciaes,
cdr define replicate --conflict=timestamp --ats --ris ds_chksum_repl \\\\
"noaa@osd_int1:informix.ds_chksum" "select * from ds_chksum" \\\\
"noaa@osd_int2:informix.ds_chksum" "select * from ds_chksum"
it seems always reports,
command failed -- Error creating delete table (57)
whenever, conflict=timestamp.
But, It will be OK if I change "timestamp" to "ignore".
Any idea?
Thanks,
Frank
This is probably the result of having dropped the syscdr database witho=
ut
having removed all of the delete tables at some time in the past. You =
will
need to contact tech support to help you get the system cleaned up
correctly.

If you don't mind telling, what kind of columns you have in the ds_chks=
um
table? I suspect you might have encountered a known problem.

HI,
Absolutely! The following is the dbschema.
By the way, Some how, the (UC5?) dbschema's ouput also includes a extra
unknow table se_dissolve with, sorry.

Probably, because I dbimported a dbexported copy of the current ER
replicated database.
