I've just started and new to 8.3 datawarehousing. I started monitoring / maintaining Ifx 8.3 datawarehouse on Sun solaris 2.6. How can I find the extent interleaving, in which dbspace they are lying etc.? TIA Mukund
Hello
Depending on what information you want to see, you could use the oncheck
command, which is available since 8.3, e.g.:
oncheck -pe
Or the onutil utility, e.g.:
onutil > CHECK SPACE DISPLAY;
(displays the space usage for each dbspace)
> CHECK SPACE SAVE IN file1;
(same as above, but save output to file1)
> CHECK INFO IN TABLE database:owner.table DISPLAY;
(displays space usage for a table. This also includes the extent
sizes,
and the pages allocated and used per extent. You'll get a statistic
for each
dbspace on which the table is distributed.)
