Dropping DB Space Caused Issue

Hi, We are using IDS 11.50.FC6 on Solaris Sparc. First, we removed the chunks of un-used DB Space, and then applied the command for DB Space removal. While removing the DB Space, the instance took quite a while, and could not complete the process. We had to kill the session, but it caused the instance hang (waiting for Check point). We had to re-star the instance and after the re-start, the same command (for DB Space removal) went successful. What could have caused this issue? Thanks

Sounds like you should call support and work with them on diagnosing this issue. John F.
