Re: moving tables

Presume that you want to use links as your chunk devices rather than
hard-coded device names.
Since you cannot move system tables of your database, you will have to
drop your database as part of the 'moving' process. Which, of course,
means that you must copy your database first. Various alternatives exist
1. Copy your database to a different dbspace under another name (Use
dbexport/dbimport or onunload/onload). Verify that the copy occurred
successfully (matching row counts, at least). Drop the original
database. Drop your dbspace. Link your device. Recreate your dbspace
using the link. Copy your database to the newly create dbspace (if you
still want to).
2. Export your database. Drop it. Drop the dbspace. Link device.
Recreate your dbspace using link. Import your database into the newly
created dbspace.
Note : Backup your instance in the quiescent mode before starting the
process.
