Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.... John, We had the same problem with Informix 2.10 under Unix UTS 2.0 (SYS V for Amdahls) when one of our users attempted to lock several hundred thousand individual rows. Our tier three support told us that it had something to do with a lack of shared memory resources and that the Kernal could be re- tuned or the user could lock the entire table, which would only take a single resource. Not much help is it? Have you tried calling Informix to see if there is a tuning parameter which can be changed to allow you to lock more than 64 rows? Mark Hampton AT&T Denver Data Center
