The classes cover 4GL, SQL, and DBA topics from beginner to advanced. Call 1-800-331-1763. There are individual trainers available (Hi, Malcolm!) that will take the time to understand what YOU are doing and teach only the things that pertain. Consider these. There are several books on the market which are worth having. See the FAQ for ordering info and brief opinions. The Informix manuals are very readable for general and background information, as well as syntax. See the SQL Tutorial, Sys Admin Guide, and 4GL By Example books for the most high-level learning. This forum is a great place to pick up the latest features, and to find things which were in the release notes (but of course you *read* those, didn't you?), and--most importantly--to get real-life experiences. Your local user group (or a long-distance one) is well worth the time to keep up with. You can start your own! The Informix User Conferences are very informative. There are many technical sessions, plenty of birds-of-a-feather, and vendor displays to learn from. That ought to keep you busy for a while. If you need more, just ask. :) __________________________________________________________________ | Clem Akins Standard Disclaimers Apply | |Reynolds Metals Co, Alloys Plant "Climb High, Cave Deep!" | | Muscle Shoals, Alabama USA cwakins@leia.alloys.rmc.com | |________________________________________________________________|
