David, I think we had the same problem on 7.23 on HP 10.20. The secondary is hanging, waiting for a checkpoint? There is a work around. The server name you use for the primary and secondary servers in your onmode commands must be the actual DBSERVERNAME from the onconfig. So you have to set that name as a TCP/IP type server in SQLHOSTS. If needed, use one of the DBSERVERALIAS as an shared memory connection. Dont ask me why. We used it succesfully on 7.14 on NCR but apparently this is a 7.2x family problem.
