Hexdec function

Hi all, I've a little problem for all you informix gurus: i need to convert some hexdec number to integer and viceversa. I,ve tryed to use C function but unfortunately my C compiler (under solaris 2.3) does not have the itoa function. Did someone of you have a little 4gl or c function to do this ?
