kill -9 again

Thanks for all the responses to my kill -9 (on an sqlturbo) question. Most of us know that tbmode -z (and -Z) are better alternatives and than kill -9 should be avoided , or even substituted with kill -13 or -15, etc. The **real** problem that we want to solve is the "end user" who is dangerous enough with Unix to know that kill -9 will do the trick. Regardless of how often one preaches about not using kill -9, there is always the occasional user (or programmer) that forgets or decides to do it anyway, causing the Online engine to crash most of the time. We want to trap kill -9 and disallow it. We've played around with scripts and paths, but we've run into the OS having problems then. I was just hoping that there has been some work done already by someone that cleverly takes care of this. I guess we'll have to keep trying. Thanks.
