Subject: Multi-thread client support in databses like infomix, sybase. ESQL/C V6 supports multiple connections but these are not asynchronous. I was on a project where we crudely implemented MT by having middle-ware processes which handled connections and used SysV IPCs to communicate. We used the middleware processes asynchronously and of course each could only handle one query at a time. The client process however was truly MT.
