Informix 4/5 - Upgrade to 7?

Edwin, Unless there are sound commercial reasons for an upgrade, there is a lot to be said for the old addage "If it isn't broke, don't fix it!" An upgrade for the sake of it is pointless. If you contact informix they will be more than happy to provide info on the features of V7, here are the ones I know about: 1) Fragmentation. Allows you to control the organisation of the data/indexes on disk. 2) Multi threaded. 3) Parallel Query - Can break a query into several parts and execute them in parallel, where appropriate.
