Has anyone added HDR to a WE instance. I was wondering on what the process is once licenses have been purchased. Is there HDR software that you download to install on top of a WE installation or what? Once it is installed, does it operate just like EE when setting up HDR? Larry
Dear Larry: I have set up HDR on IDS WE instances in a number of sites. It is my understanding that there is a separate licensing fee for HDR however I am not the one who pays the bills in my company so I would have to confirm that for you. I have not yet set up HDR on IDS 11.x but IDS 10.x WE has had the HDR software component built in and all I needed to do is configure the two instances for replication. It is a somewhat less complicated procedure than Enterprise Replication. Nothing to download, just a rebrand step IB. It IS EE, there's only one code base for IDS, its just that the license code tells it to not permit HDR to be set up.
