It certainly means two important but useless things: 1) You've got some weird code somewhere, and 2) Someone at Informix forgot to submit his nifty new error message for release. You are just going to have to start commenting out code until it compiles and then figure out why that particular, truly harmless, line is choking the compiler. Art S. Kagel
