Problems with Informix on NT - Please Help

Hello We are working with Informix TC5 on a Compaq machine with Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 3 applied). On July 6 we had a problem with the database server. The database suddenly stopped, and there was no reason for that. No problems with NT (as far as we could see), and no exceptions running on the machine, just the usual jobs. The database server seemed to be freezed, even the checkpoints stopped, and there was no messages being written to the log. 30 minutes later, the database became offline, with many error messages. Could somebody help me with these messages ??? I've never seem them before, I don't know what happened... It seemed that the database have lost the configuration file... I'm sending my onconfig file too, I hope that somebody knows what does this mean... You had a disk error on the 6th at 17:07:38 which may or may not have been corrected and your ONCONFIG file has ONDBSPACEDOWN=2 which means pause all operations and wait for the chunk to be repaired and marked back online. Does onstat -d show any chunks and/or dbspaces with a 'D' in the flags column? You must repair or replace that chunk then run onspaces -O to mark the chunk back online. Then the engine willcontinue normally. If you do not want this behavior change the value of ONDBSPACEDOWN to 1 (crash) or 0 (continue) for the next restart. Art S.
