You are not guaranteed being able to restore on any other OS than
Unixware. Windows is extremely unlikely to work. Raw to cooked will work,
but why do you want to do that? Performance will suck. The onconfig and
environment variables are both important.

Go onto ebay and buy an old PC, use that to get your data off, then
migrate to a new linux box.
