The database conversion is easy but the OnLine engine is a more complex environment, isolation levels for example, which may affect your system's behavior. >3. What would you say to someone that was considering doing this? I would be careful to not underestimate the complexity of the OnLine engine and the readiness of its administrators, especially with the recent enhancements. I was reviewing the docs for version 6.0 and the material seemed like an advanced discussion of operating systems. I would strongly suggest some exposure to OnLine on a development or test system to assist in achieving a comfort level with the new, powerful and complex environment. It is expensive in the short term, but it is worth it. Good luck. Edwin Babadaglian, Informix SI edwinb@panix.com
