Why do I lose precision when I write the results of a sql query to an html report?

I am losing precision when I write the results of a sql query to an
html report. I'm using Informix 7.31 and ASP (IIS 5.0, IE6.0). In
dbaccess, my query returns...
msgtype 210
sos 20246
cos 10
..where msgtype is a "message type", sos is "sum of settle amount" and
cos is "count of settle amount". In ASP, the following code...

The "3" and "20200" should read "5" and "20246"? Why am I losing
precision?
