Informix sql Error 211 + Isam error 101

Is your "84440" session doing something with stored procecures or grants? There was a situation when this could happen if a procedure needed to have it's query plan recalculated... usually you'd get locks on sysprocplan. This was changed in one of the later 10.00.xF* versions (maybe FC6, but I'm not sure...) Well, i forgot to give you all the information The error is the next 211: Cannot read system catalog (systables). System error number -101. ISAM error: file is not open. so, is not a problem on sysprocplan is a lock on systables and there is not any type of exclusive lock on the tables. Other thing, i cant make select to any table of the DB. pd: sorry for my pour english im not good writing. Thx a lot for help

Hi, I'd suggest to check: - with oncheck -cc and -cDI that there's not any corruption / inconsistence in the catalog or in the table that you want to access. - if there is any open file descriptors limit that was reached at the operating system level or at the session level. If you have applications using cursors, it will open new file descriptors as new cursors are opened. If the application doesn't release the resources properly, or consume many resources at managing these cursors, this may lead to reaching the limit in the amount of fd that can be opened per session, at the system level.
