Solaris 10 IDS 11.50.FC5 ________________________________ I read on the IIUG site that there is no way to make a database READ ONLY (exception being the Secondary in an HDR pair). Is this still true? I want to still be able to read the data from the Primary database, but I do not want to allow updates for a period of time. Other than performing a Schema on the database and changing all the Grants to Revoke, is there an easier way to not allow Updates, Deletes and Inserts? Thank you. Larry
sysdbopen() setting a to-be-defined 'read_only' ROLE might be what you're looking for.
