X-window qeustion

I have a question for this group that I hope someone can shed some light on. I am running Informix 2.10.00B on a UNIX 4.3 BSD system. The problem I am encountering is that when I bring up a database that has two screens in the form on a X-window(80x24 size) and try to update(and occasionaly during a query) the screen jumps up one or two lines hence all the info gets garbaged up.
