Mirko If the Archive file is greater than 2Gb you cannot restore from disk. What is in the Informix messages log? Why does it stop? What is the problem with restoring from tape? We have already read the tape with UNIX -dd (bs=256k) and launched restore from disk. This worked only if we restrikt the number of blocks read in (count=1000) but failed completely if we try to read the whole tape file. We use Informix 7.30UC7XB on Solaris 2.6. Any Ideas?
