All: Do you all know if there is Open Source Entity-relationship (ER) Modeling Software available for Informix? I have looked around, but no success with my find. Thank you, Christopher
There is none. Some of the freely available ER diagramming tools that do ODBC/JDBC can read the basic schema, others can if you install the ANSI schema views (not installed by default), but none has complete support for IDS features and data types. Do you know that every distribution of IDS comes with AGS's Server Studio? Also the Developer's Edition license entitles you to access Server Studio's ER Diagrammer? The Developer's license is only $895 and you get a full feature 30day free trial of the Server Studio Suite Edition with IDS. Art Art S. Not free or open source, but please look at InfoSphere Data Architect from IBM as well. It provides a lot of modeling capabilities for IDS. VG.
