Informix Perf Question

-> 0% - 30% cache reads and 80% - 95% cache writes. On the other servers the -> cache read and write range from the high 80% to 90+%. Is it possible that -> the applicationbs software is negatively impacting the cache %?? Well, yes, I would imagine that the application could affect hit rates. Highly randomised accesses would obviously give lower hit rates than a batch-processing type app. Your write caching looks OK, maybe a little low, but your read caching is way off! I'm not too hot on tuning OnLine, I'm afraid, but you might want to up buffers (although they look pretty hefty already!) Knowing as little as I do ( ;-) ), I'd say that a look at the app is the best place to start....
