Maintenance

I'm talking to Informix UK about replacing our v1.10 4GL SE system with v5 or v7 SE. Not only is maintenance compulsary but because we have never had support before they want to charge us for the period we havent had support ! Why cant the cost of Maintenance be added to the cost of the product . and marketed as free support ? Robert Royall
