Hello everybody,
When my server shutdown, My database doesn't restart and I must do a
dbimport.
Which option can I choose for restart properly my database.
Thank you
Jerome
What commands are you currently using to restart the engine? Try using
onmode -yuk to shutdown and oninit (with no options) to start.

Nah -he should use 'oninit -v' and post the result here.

If you mean that the server did not restart from the rc scripts after an
OS crash, this is a common occurance. Probably the filesystem on which
the Informix software resides needed cleaning during the restart and, like
most servers, the rc did not wait for the cleaning to complete. So when
the Informix startup ran it could not find the oninit executable. Just
try starting the engine manually or shutdown the OS to single user mode
and bring it back to run level 3 again. This will rerun the normal
startup.
