Re: Kernel parameters

Thanks for the advice Paul and all. Unfortunately I still have some wierd
things happening. We put the "forceloads"
into /etc/system along with the settings out of the machine notes and they
look like this:
forceload: sys/shmsys
forceload: sys/semsys
forceload: sys/msgsys
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=268435456
set semsys:seminfo_semmap=64
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=4096
set semsys:seminfo_semmns=4096
set semsys:seminfo_semmnu=4096
set semsys:seminfo_semume=64
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=100
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=100
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=100
set enable_sm_wa = 1
When I do the IPCS command I get:
IPC status from <running system> as of Tue Sep 23 12:38:51 1997
T ID KEY MODE OWNER GROUP
Message Queues:
Shared Memory:
Semaphores:
Also when I try to initialize the database I am still getting the same shared
memory not initialized error. Oh yea, BYW
we have rebooted the machines about a million times now!!
Would appreciate any other ideas..........
