Basically the same procedure as for any version up to and including 7.2x: * create group informix * create user informix * as root, extract data from media into chosen $INFORMIXDIR * set $INFORMIXDIR * run installsql (2.10) or install4gl (probably 1.10) Note that you will install what is now known as SE each time. You will need to find the correct extract command (probably tar) and possibly the correct options (tar -xvfb /dev/rfd0 2 might be right, but probably isn't -- the device name is suspect).
