Error reading buffer on onunload

Hi i'm running informix 7.31 on a Compaq Proliant 3000. If I perform an onunload of small database, for example 130 Mb, it will finished without errors, but if I perform an onunload bigger than (15 Gb) . It returns the following error : " Error reading buffer ". The tape device is HP DLT 7000 Any suggestions? tks
